    How about in the settings page you can set the "step interval". some may want 10, some may want 25, default could be 50. Then every time you tap right you increase by "step interval". Tapping right again could fade back to zero (not abrupt 100->0). Or double tap right to fade to off.

  3. PC driven test. Step X percent motor every Y seconds. Log results in simple csv format for graphing (or graph in the tool)
